On Tuesday, July 29th, I filed to officially run for a seat on the ISD 196 School Board!

I'm excited to hear more from the community about how you feel about ISD 196.

As a current ISD 196 School Board Member, I often hear about our fantastic, caring teachers and administrators, bus drivers, maintenance workers, and nutrition services staff. Friends and neighbors comment on how our facilities are constantly being updated to meet the needs of a quickly changing world. ISD 196 is recognized for offering technology that allows our students to learn the most up to date skills, practice methods of learning that mirror the real world, and assist in providing all students a learning environment that fits their unique needs.

I also hear that we need to continue to focus on the increasing needs of special education, safety in and around school buildings, and balancing technology with non-screen-based learning.

I'm here to listen, learn, and work with all members of the community to meet the needs of our students, educators, and community members! Send me a message with your concerns and questions and I'd love to have a conversation: catherineforisd196@gmail.com

Please keep the needs of Autistic, Neurodivergent; and Gender, Sexuality, Relationship, and Romantic Minority (GSRM) students in mind during your advocacy efforts.

We need all of the Accomplices we can rally.

Thank you.
